A modular sci fi building I plan on developing in my spare time. I hope to update weekly as a way to reflect on my work. Textures and lighting will not be final at this point.
1st weekend-Block outs/ thinking of colour, materials & scale
2nd weekend - Developing some shapes and assets, working out how pieces will fit together + unwrapping

3rd weekend- Didn't have as much time this weekend but mainly used the time to play around with different shapes for the main door, in the end I came up with this block out which looked fairly unique compared to most sci fi doors.

3rd Weekend - Started to add some details to the door, and created a simple modular railing to go down the side of the room.
3rd Weekend - Also added some extra decorations which will display what floor/corridor the player is on

UPDATE: Got some of my assets into unreal engine and began experimenting with modularity. Made multiple pipe modules that can be re-used in a unique manor. (Lighting temporary)
UPDATE: The aim of this scene is efficiency/ I have used the same base material across different assets , using material id's I made them look unique, on top of this I have began experimenting with decals in unreal to break the scene up even more.
Update: Experimenting with a new Pipe concept, model half complete. Made the piping modules more efficient.
Update: Starting to like the shape of the room now, would like to play around with the floor next and bake some panels etc down. Also more work to be done on the Pillars at the side.
Update: Began playing with the lighting again, added a slight red tint to the lights for effect.
Update: More work on the pillars/air vent system, much more work to do, but the idea is to create a modular wall piece that will fit them in more conveniently +floor panels.
